A Journey of Words is in labor
"What" you might be asking.
Well, yesterday the pre-order link was activated for the anthology of short stories that my brand new short story, "The Whaler's Dues," will be in. This book is the second installment in Scout Media's 'Of Words' series. The anthology includes 35 authors from all over the world, with the theme of each story being either a journey or someone traveling.
My story, which is exclusive to A Journey of Words, is a story adaptation of Jethro Tull's album, "Rock Island." It follows Big Riff and his secret admiration for a stripper, who happens to be married to a mysterious man and a stranger to the townsfolk. After jealousy forces Big Riff to steal a mandolin from a local rock-star's car, he is thrown into a world of bitter revenge and punishment, sentenced to forever float along the waters of perdition, unless he can harness his love for the stripper as his only chance for redemption.
The stories in the book range from drama, horror, sci-fi, fantasy, to even social commentary. A Journey of Words features both traditionally published novelists all the way to first-time aspiring authors.
The book is scheduled to be released on Sept. 1. I highly suggest checking out this book of 35 stories, and if you get the paperback from the Scout Media site, it comes with a free companion soundtrack CD of songs handpicked by the authors that inspired all their stories. Click HERE
